What SALT stands for

Seeking A Life Transformed.

SALT is our name for FAITH's student ministry — and the name matters. Middle school and high school are seasons of growth, hard questions, and identity work. We don't think a teenager should have to hide any of that.

So at SALT, we don't do surface-level. We take teens seriously — their doubts, their hopes, the things they're proud of and the things they're scared of. We want every student who walks through our door to know they can be honest here, be known, and find a clear picture of who God is.

Weekly rhythm

Two times, every Sunday.

11a
Sunday Bible Study

Sunday mornings

Sunday mornings at 11a, students meet in their own space for Bible study — digging into Scripture, in a room that's built for them. Same hour as the adult Classic Worship service.

6–8p
Our weekly large-group night

NaCl

Sunday nights at 6. Teens hang out, hear a lesson together, then break into small groups (by gender) to go deeper with our youth leaders.

Where: Youth Level (upstairs, across from the Worship Center)

Why "NaCl"? Chemistry nerds, here's your moment — NaCl is the chemical formula for salt. It's SALT's weekly large group. The name isn't an accident.

What to expect.

Safe space for questions

Teens bring big questions. We welcome them. No question is too embarrassing, too skeptical, or too hard for this room.

Leaders who show up

Our student leaders are adults who've chosen to invest in this generation. They're background-checked, trained, and genuinely delighted that your student is here.

Small groups by gender

After the combined lesson at NaCl, students split into smaller groups divided by gender to dig deeper and share more honestly.

Fun, not fluff

Open gym nights, The BIG Event, summer trips. We believe in serious Bible study and a good time — not one or the other.

Parents welcome

We'd love to meet the grown-ups raising these kids. Swing by any Sunday night before 6p to meet our leaders and see the space.

Bring a friend

A student who brings a friend often sees them come to faith. It's the most natural outreach there is.

Upcoming

Events & trips.

Besides our weekly Sunday rhythm, here's what's coming up. We update this list as plans get firm.

SALT Topics

What we're discussing.

Throughout the year, SALT digs into topics that matter to teenagers — faith, relationships, identity, purpose, and how to live out what Jesus teaches. We don't shy away from the hard stuff. Every topic is grounded in Scripture and led by leaders who genuinely care.

Check back regularly for updates on the topics we're covering and resources to help continue the conversation at home.

Reach out.
We'd love to meet you.

Email youth@faithbc.net — Nick Holmes, our Student Ministry Director, will get back to you. Or just come on a Sunday night at 6p. Bring your kid. Bring their friend. Bring yourself if you want to come meet the leaders first.
